Flextor

General Information

Effox-Flextor Radial Vane dampers are used primarily as fan inlet control dampers. The use of a radial vane damper enhances the performance of the fan by:

• Introducing swirl into the inlet of the fan in the direction of rotation,
• Changing the fan curve as the damper moves
• Eliminating low-volume stalling of the fan.

Linkage / Bearing

Effox-Flextor uses a heavy-duty linkage design that is located outside the gas stream. Bearings are ball-bearing and allow for reliable and smooth operation.

Blades

All Effox-Flextor radial vane dampers use a spiral and cantilever design. Blades are heavy-duty and self-supporting which eliminates the requirement for any bearings or supports in the gas stream.

Actuation

Effox-Flextor radial vane dampers are supplied with multi turn actuators to ensure smooth and reliable operation of the damper.
